There’s no doubt that Spectranet has one of the best MiFi devices in Nigeria, and they also have good internet data plans as well, so if you’re a new Spectranet user, you might want to change your Spectranet SSID (also known as Service Set Identifier) and Password. With this article on Naijaknowhow, I’ll be explaining to you how you can edit your Spectranet password and SSID easily without going through much stress.
How To Change Spectranet Password and SSID
Spectranet has about 6 different MiFi and Routers combined, therefore I’ll be listing how to change SSID (Service Set Identifier) and Password across each device because they have different portals and different IP addresses.
Change Spectranet Ace MiFi SSID and Password
Open 192.168.8.1 or http://spectranet.mobilewifi/ on your web browser on your PC or mobile device. Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin). If you’ve changed this but have forgotten, kindly reach out to the Spectranet support agent for assistance. Click on Settings and also click WiFi Settings. You’ll find your MiFi’s default login details, you can easily change it to the one you like by modifying the Wi-Fi SSID and Wi-Fi Key then click Apply to save changes. Alternatively, you may also modify your Spectranet Ace MiFi SSID and WiFi Key through the Quick Settings page as seen in the screenshot below.
Change Spectranet MiFi E5573-XXX SSID and Password
Go to 192.168.8.1 on your web browser Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Click on Settings and also click WLAN. Select WLAN Basic Settings. You’ll find your MiFi’s default login details, you can easily change it to the one you like then save settings.
Change Spectranet Pebble MiFi 5800 SSID and Password
Go to 192.168.8.1 on your web browser Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Click on Settings and then click on WiFi. Then look for the SSID and Password section, delete the default ones there and add a new one then hit the save button.
Change Spectranet Freedom MiFi M022T SSID and Password
Visit 192.168.8.1 on your browser. Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Click on Wireless and then select Wireless Security Settings. Then look for the SSID and Password section, delete the default ones there and add a new one then hit the save button.
Change Spectranet CPE B310 SSID and Password
Visit 192.168.8.1 on your web browser Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Now go to settings and click on WLAN. Now Select WLAN basic Settings. You’ll see a box that shows your Password and SSID. Click on each to edit and save it once you’re done.
Change Spectranet CPE E5172 SSID and Password
Open your web browser and go to the following address 192.168.1.1. You will be redirected to your WiFi Router’s dashboard. Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Once you’ve logged into your dashboard, click on WiFi. Select WiFi Settings. You’ll find your Spectranet Password and SSID here. Click on each box and change it to a new one and Update/Apply once you’re done.
Change Spectranet CPE Tozed P21-XXX SSID and Password
Go to 192.168.8.1 using your mobile browser or PC browser if you’re connected to your Spectranet device. Log in with your default username and password. Every Spectranet device usually comes with a default username and password which are (username: admin, password: admin) Click on Device Settings and then select WLAN Settings. You see the SSID and Security Key(which stands as the password) Click on each box to edit them and add your new details and save.
